For new houses the type of aggregate and concrete colour should be decided before the slab is poured.
The concreter should liaise with the concrete polisher before pouring the slab to ensure the density of the concrete is optimal and so that the slab is poured with an even spread of aggregate.
With existing houses an examination of the concrete slab should be made and a grinding and polishing procedure should be decided upon in consultation with the concrete polisher.
This will ensure the best finish can be brought out of the existing concrete and aggregate. Carpet and tiles are then removed, flaws in the slab treated and polishing commences.
